I live in Scotland, Ontario, Canada. The first picture of some stuff growing under a Snowball bush in our yard. It has the trileaflet but the stem seems has little thorns on it. The second picture looks like the same thing but it is growing by a fence post right out in the open. I have not noticed it before this year so don't know what it looks like in other seasons. Do you think it is poison ivy? You have my permission to use any photos I submit.
