Question Asked: This picture was taken on the northwest side of Indianapolis Indiana in July of 2003. The vine is growing up the side of a tree on my wooded lot. Looks like poison ivy to me!
Answer: Hi Harold -
Even though the picture is not as bright in colors as we normally see, it certainly has enough detail to make a decision. I'm with you as that looks like a nice bit of poison ivy. All of the classic characteristics we look for are there including the aerial rootlets (yes you have to squint but they are there and plain to see). I get the impression that there may be something else climbing up your tree as well but I don't see enough to say for sure. |
