Question Asked: magnum P.I. here in tennessee (knox county) knoxville (south of river) something in my yard is got us all good, everyone is refusing to work in the yard for fear of a drive by from these nasty plants i have penty of suspects

Yup - you've got quite an interesting array of plants and the bulk of the pictures are of poison ivy. Just an aside - if I were the one having to hold up the poison ivy plant in the second picture, I too would refuse to work in the yard :-). The vine with the trifoliate (3 leaflet leaves) which has hairy roots coming from the woody vine, that's your poison ivy. Looks like quite a healthy batch from your pictures. I've separated out all your pictures submissions so that only those which have poison ivy in the picture are on this page.

Develop a plant and attack these plants. It is something that can be controlled but requires planning and patience particularly if you want to avoid a "drive by".
