Question Asked: What is this and is it poisonous? Can you please tell me what this tree is?
Answer: This was definitely a tough call. The plant is not hairy along the stem so that rules out staghorn sumac. I believe I see toothed margins (most of the leaflets are curled in on the newer leaves or aren't clear enough in the picture). Poison sumac normally grows in very moist conditions and have smooth or untoothed margins (edge of leaflet). I'm putting this in the possible smooth sumac category.
