Question Asked: IS THIS POISON IVY OR SUMACH? On the front porch and side yard.
Answer: Hi Naomi - You are in my neck of the woods so it was a snap to identify this plant. The first picture certainly is a batch of poison ivy. The second picture is not - I see a bunch of wild plants (your side yard?) such as wild violet (that's invasive!), clover (ditto), and I'm not familiar with the light green one but it's clear to see that it's not poison ivy or cousin based on leaf configuration (shape, placement on plant, etc.).
You'll want to get out some RoundUp or Brush-B-Gon to get rid of the poison ivy. I've also just pulled plants in a confined area but if you do make sure that you take precautions. |
