Question Asked: This plant is growing in our back yard. Is it poison ivy or poisin oak?
Answer: Dolores - certainly does look like poison ivy. Poison oak has a more "oak-y" look to the leaves. Poison ivy leaves tend to vary greatly (fat, stubby, lobed, smooth) but the middle leaflet of the leaf is generally pointed and the leaves are egg-shaped. It looks like this vine is growing along the ground and peeking up from amongst other plantings. This one will be interesting to get rid of. |
