Question Asked: I live in San Antonio, TX, and this is growing on my back fence. We live in a suburb area, and there is not any wooded area around us. I was guessing this is not poison because of it's lobes, but I didn't want to take any chances with my kids playing around it. Thanks for the help and the great site!
Answer: Christy - you're right that this isn't poison ivy. Sorry I don't have a positive id at the moment (I'll see if I can dig one up). The key here is that the leaves are opposite on the vine. Poison ivy is alternate. Shouldn't be an issue. |
