I got a nasty burning sensation from a plant that sort of looks like poison sumac. However, no rash, only burning, minor swelling, and redness, some stiffness (maybe that was arthritis). This grows under my deck and I trim it before it gets in the way.
If this is a tree it is a very young one.
We have the kind with the red velvet cones but this plant has dainty white flowers. It's actually pretty. Pretty poison!
