| Has anybody had a severe case of poison ivy? How long should I expect this rash to last? I was exposed exactly three weeks ago, went to urgent care on day two, got a steroid shot and a 12 day oral steroid, finished the oral steroid, the rash still wasn't gone and I was still very itchy so I went back to urgent care and got a second shot and I'm still so itchy I can barely take it. The rash is from both of by elbows down to my fingertips and from my thighs down to my ankles. The itching is really bad at night and I can't help but itch. I was also prescribed an antihistamine, which I also ran out of, got prescribed another bottle but the mg was only half of what they gave me the first time and I only have one more days worth of this bottle. Is this normal for me to be so itchy still after three weeks? Both doctors at urgent care said its very odd that I didn't get relief after the shots. I'm going crazy! |
