There is a black walnut tree overhanging the road in front of our house. It has a HUGE poison ivy vine growing up it that overhangs on the branches. If it is cut at the base and sprayed the part connected to the ground, can the vine up from there get nutrients from the tree? In other words, will the whole vine die?
Also, are the walnuts on the tree ok to eat?
