It's been two years since I posted about our VC experiences, and I've been avoiding this stuff like the plague. It's growing behind our fence like mad.
For those here who are suffering an extended bout of the rash, I will post again the final remedy I had to seek. After various home remedies and over-the-counter medicines that proved fairly ineffective, I had to treat it the same way I did a vicious poison oak bout I had some years ago: visit the doctor and get a prescription for oral steroids, specifically Prednisone. Just as with the poison oak, the steroids knocked out the creeper rash within a few days.
Don't listen to anyone who will say "it will just go away on it's own". If it's been with you for a while, and if you're like me, you'll need some heavy firepower to get rid of it.
