Reading this site has been both helpful and confusing.
There are plenty of conflicting remarks from posters where one poster will contradict what another poster swears by, plenty of conflicting information regarding hot water. Posters should simply state what does or does not work and avoid offering "opinion" as to why. I recommend not reading just one thing and running out to try it. Read EVERYTHING and try everything to see what works for you - everybody is different. Three weeks now and I am still getting new rash. Have washed everything and I doubt there is any oil on any surfaces because nobody else in the household is coming down with it. If oil was present, wouldn't others get it too? Hot showers and soaking in an oatmeal bath make me feel better for a time. Have used calamine and anti-ich creams. Ivy Dry burns for a few minutes when I use it. Had shot and pills first week. Thought it was almost gone after week two, just dry flaking skin and a couple of blisters left. After third week new patches of rash appeared. I've avoided the yard (to the dismay of my neighbors) so I am at a loss as to what is causing the rash to reappear. |
