I am so happy to find these postings! A couple of years ago I had a case of poison ivy. I've always been sensitive to plant material touching my skin and will get a brief case of hives from contact, but have never had poison ivy - thought I was immune to it. Both of my legs flared with a horrible rash and then for several weeks I would get random rashes for about a day in other places. After steroids and several weeks, it finally subsided. A year later, and now again, the rash has returned to my legs in the same places as it started - including worse on one leg than the other. I haven't come into contact with any plant material at all. It is in my system. Drs are not helpful other than to give a steroid to help calm it down. Thanks to all for posting - I am so glad not to be alone in this misery.
