Hello,
I have dealt with Poison Ivy ever since I moved to the PNW 11 years ago so have gained a lot of experience with this nuisance.
The first thing I always do is avoid people till I can get my rash under control.
Secondly I do use Technu and I buy a 3 piece kit but for my area it is relatively cheap so maybe order it online? Also my father is a logger and for many years used a bar soap called Grimes or something for Poison Ivy/Sumac and it worked great for him but I'm unsure if they still make it, but Burt's Bee's does make a bar soap.
My favorite thing was Original Dawn Dishsoap. Rub it on everytime it itches or oozes and let the soap dry then rinse in lukewarm or coldish water. It removes the oils and dries it out. That has always worked for me along with the Technu.
Wash your dogs in the dish soap and wash every surface as often as you can!!
Try using Calamine lotion or anything with an OATMEAL base in it. And take Benadryl or any other type of allergy medicine.
I hope that this helps you!!
