This is the 1st time that I've seen any word on poison oak spreading. The "professionals " say it doesn't spread. Here's my story: My boyfriend fell off his bike into a p.o. bush on May 13th. He thought that he removed all the oil by washing it off with dish soap, which usually works for him. Unfortunately I was the recipient of a nice spread on my belly and left arm. We were paranoid after that and washed everything that could have remote chance of oil on it. My rash appeared on May 14th and has grown a handful of bumps on the circumference of each rash patch every day. WTH?!? It's been 10 days and it's still growing! Yesterday I saw a new bump on my right arm. How did it get there? This is the first time I've p.o. since I just moved to an area where it rampant. I've scrubbed with dish detergent every day as well as 4 over the counter products. I think that bleach is going to be my next dabble unless someone has a better idea. Is it possible that the oil inside my rash blisters is causing the spread? Does anyone have a good answer for the cause of spread or how to stop it? btw: my boyfriend's rash was gnarly, everywhere except his face ( beard protected ) and manly parts, but he is almost completely healed. Thanks in advance for any good advice!
