I also got a rather intense poison oak reaction this time (about my 8th time ever getting it), involving blisters and oozing, near my knees. I contracted it two weeks ago, and though it was starting to heal and the swelling around my knees was going down, I noticed that my ankles started to swell about 1.5 weeks after the initial contact. Now, 2 weeks after contact my ankles are even more swollen and I have red splotches behind my knees, around both ankles, on my upper thighs and now above my hip bones. The fact that it's symmetrical and focused around lymph nodes makes it seem like a systemic reaction. btw, Thanks to the poster above for scaring the bejeezus out of me by entertaining the idea that this is now an "autoimmune" reaction. Anyway, I'm very glad to know that I'm not alone and that at least this doesn't signify that we are just all being continually re-exposed to some secret source of it around the house.
