thanks for posting this board!! i pulled virginia creeper roots out bare handed three weeks ago and suffered severe itching blisters and rash for 8 days afterwards. there was poison ivy nearby in the area but, while i knew i'd just pulled v.c., i thought i must've pulled p.i. i assumed i had poison ivy until today. yesterday, i pulled virginia creeper, ONLY virginia creeper, and i have itchy rash and blisters on my hands. I HAD NO IDEA!! why isn't v.i. posted as a poisonous plant that gives you a rash if you pull the roots? i have never gotten a rash pulling the vines or touching the leaves but the roots sure give me a reaction something terrible!!!
