I have had poison ivy/oak for a week now. I went to see a doctor who prescribed me MethylPrednisolone 4mg. Currently I am on day 3 with the medication and can see that some areas on my arms are drying-up but the itch is still there, which is driving me crazy. In addition, I was told that using Benadryl Anti-Itch or Hydrocortisone 1% cream can also be used.
With my condition (severe reaction), I was told that it should take 3-4 weeks to heal. |
