My son appears to have contracted dermitis from poison ivy (or oak or sumac) while working in the woods this past weekend (3/20/11). We live on Lake Erie in Western NY - it's still snowing here (although we had a warm spell over St. Pat's Day)- is this possible? Aren't these plants dormant in winter?
