I too have an incredibly intense poison oak rash that wont heal and is on right forearm! I found Dr. Weil's site the most helpful in terms of reasonable and helpful education. Basically as Dr. Weil describes if you dont clean it and expose it to air constantly the wound wont heal. This hurts but is necessary.
This said, I think my rash is getting infected or something and it just wont budge. It has been over ten days and my fear is that is has become systemic, and at this point my doctor is suggesting anti-bioitics, though definately not my drug of choice.
