I have this too. I am a physician and am stunned at how many of my colleagues believe that I have gotten back into the poisone ivy to cause this (you must have had it on some of your clothes etc...) Unfortunately, I am a Neurologist so I don't know what this is or what it is called or what to do to prevent it. Apparently,none of my colleagues know either.
