I too have busted out in a rash on my forearms and chest after pulling these creeper vines out of my yard, gathering the pile and picking it up to put in a refuse bag. Not quite as bad as my last bout with poison ivy, but OMG does it ITCH! I got some of the IVAREST cream and it helps to dry it out and found that I had some of a prescription antihistamine called XYZAL my allergist had given me samples of. It is also used to treat chronic hives, and since I took that 12 hours ago it has helped IMMENSELY. I was telling my sister about it last night and she said her hubby(who gets rashes when the wind blows) swears that the Virginia Creeper gives him a rash, and when I looked it up on the web this morning.....glad to finally know I don't need to bathe the cat....whew....
