OH YES! GET THE WORD OUT... I'm thinking that the CDC should post a warning. I have been battling this Virginia Creeper for two weeks. At first only mild itch and redness on my hands. Sometimes I would not wear any gloves to tear some of it out from the hedges. I now have a more severe rash and my brother who had been weed whacking has been to the doctor with the above mentioned antidotes applied. I have read many positive and negative comments about the Virginia Creeper vine, and talked with others about it. The identity of the plant is unknown to many and a clear warning must be published about Virginia Creeper. It is just far too invasive and easily spread. More importantly, there is NO CLEAR PUBLISHED ACTION FOR TREATMENT OF THE VIRGINIA CREEPER RASH. I havn't come across one yet, not even on this site (although similar precaution and treatment suggestions may help). Perhaps the poisonous properties of this particular plant are a new phenomenon? Help is needed from a genuine profesional with an honest empathetic approach.
