| trying to figure out what is going on with my 20yr old arabian mare. In the last month she has had 2 really bad, looked like a chemical burn, with resulting skin peel, rashes on her face. She has never had these before but is in a new area and is kept in the outlying areas of her new place by another more dominant horse. None of the others have had anything like it. Starts as a crusty area and progresses rapidly, swells up, leaks a yellowish clear serum, scabs, peels and leaves pitting and pink skin where black skin was. I have some pics, poor horse. She is getting better. Just wondering if anyone else ran into this and what could be done to help lessen the ouch for her. Thanks, white horse |
