This website is a wealth of information. I am wondering if anyone has noticed a direct relationship with sun exposure and worsening of poison ivy reaction. My many sites of the rash (varying from one little bump to welpy clusters) were diminishing & I thought it was pretty much going-going-gone. Then I was out in the sun at my cousin's pool all afternoon. That night I woke up several times itching like crazy. At 4 AM I finally got up and treated about 6 new areas with my treatment regimen (TECNU & follow that with anti-itch spray - diphenhydramine Hydrochloride & zinc acetate). Then I rubbed on a paste of Aveeno oatmeal powder on & let dry. An hour later....I took a benadryl and slept for 5 hours. A friend called me @ 10 AM wondering why I was still in bed (thank God it was a holiday). I told her about the new areas & she immediately asked me if I had been out in the sun. I've had this nasty stuff 4 times now, and never knew that being in the sun will bring it all back out just when it was calming down. Hopefully this will help some other miserable victim out there, LOL.
