Aside from the obvious answer of avoiding contact with the urushiol oil, is there anything that a person can do to help prevent furhter outbreaks (or to literally build up a tolerance to it)? I am in the US Army and we spend a lot of time in the field environment and I unfortunately end up with poison ivy rashes just about everytime we sleep out in the woods here in good ol' Georgia.
With this circumstance, I can not simply avoid it altogether and while I will make every conscious attempt to avoid it, sometimes it is not an option during some "missions," (training exercises of course).
Thanks in advance for any tips, thoughts, suggestions, etc... |
