I was outdoors for quite a while this past week on a day when the wind was blowing at 50+ mph. I live on the edge of a wooded area, rampant w/pi. (I was also bbq-ing...not sure if there is any tie to that.) Today my one eye is swollen shut, other eye, almost there. Face & neck are an itchy, swollen mess! Just started on a course of prednisone. So...yes, definitely it can be airborne.
