| I avoided going to the Dr. for 3 days using ice and Advil to alleviate the inflammation... Two Doctor friends recommended I go to the local Urgent Care to have the rash looked at (both suspected poison ivy/oak) once there the Doc confirmed it was poison ivy/oak. They prescribed prednisone, generic Zyrtec, and an anti-inflammatory ointment (total cost $23). It provided immediate relief and the swelling and itching has gone away. Said it should take a few days to go away completely. |
