We recently purchased a home and come spring we noticed a "HUGE" vine growning in the back corner of our property. I have always been cautious of poison ivy and know how to identify it immediately. The back of our property is a private road so we are unable to actually get to the root of the plant to kill it. Plus, there are other areas along the fence that they ivy is growing thru. Because of this vine we are also concerned that it may compromise the integrity to our fence sinec it is growing in and out of it. My husband and I have debated on how we should treat the portion that is growning on our fence and also the neighbors fence. I have also been back and forth on whether we should hire a professional to come out and remove/treat it. Any suggestiosn would be helpful.
