I have had poison oak many times. At the moment I have a small patch on my face, my forearm, and my elbow. I have had it for about a week and a half and the swelling has minimized greatly. A small redish patch remains...worried that it will scar but i've learned better than to scratch it. I have found that the best remedies are tecnu, a paste applied to the infected areas made out of baking soda and water...this helps dry it out, aloe vera from the aloe plant, ice, and cold showers.
