I got poison ivy from a big dormant root, i thought it was a tree root and ignored it. I got a major rash from my hands to my armpits, then, when i got home and changed clothes, got it from my arms to my sides where my arms touched. This was almost a year ago. I looked as though i had been chemically burned and i guess in a way i was. I was left with deep scars, and still have most of the scars a year later
I fell onto my knees during the summer and got some minor bruises. After a few days, those bruises turned to rashes that looked like mild poison ivy rashes. Ignored them thinking it was just a coincidence. A month ago i was slammed between some heavy gates by a crazy heifer and got some nice deep bruising on my arms. A couple days later, mild poison ivy like rashes over each bruise, right elbow, left shoulder, left forearm. No longer think this is coincidence, my bruises turn to rashes. Why? I've searched around the internet, mainly because my husband laughed at me for thinking this, and found other people getting rashes over bruises and comparing them to poison ivy. Most had seen a doctor for this and most were given what i think is dumb diagnoses .. I wished i could find some answers. I do know that once the bruise is gone, the rash goes away too. Not too worried about long term effects, just want to know if it had something to do with the bad case of poison ivy i had..
