| I've lived around poison oak my whole life and have been infected many times being an active hiker and Mt. biker. It's my personal belief that the worst time of year is early spring when the plant is putting out it's first green buds. It's very hard to identify during this period as well since it many looks like dry/dead sticks. Later in the season when the leaves turn red the plant doesn't seam nearly as potent. |
