it can be yellow, orange, red ,etc... Look more for the vines and how it grows. Usually its a clinging type plant. It can grow in clumps and be bushy though. Print out some good pics or get some pamphlets from your local extension services and use those for help. Its worth using guides to recognize it and get real familiar with it.
