I'm looking for an answer for this too! I came in contact with poison ivy almost 2 wks ago and had a severe outbreak on both of my forearms, a little bit on my legs and a little around both ankles. I've cleaned everything that came in contact with the poison and have gotten rid of the weeping and oozing with a great product called All Stop that I ordered over the internet. I have just scabs and red arms to testify to the poison ivy. However, even though I consider it to be "gone", I have and am continuing to develop red patches on my body - most of them where the poison was previously, but some of them where I did not have poison before. And I itch!! All over!!! It's almost like hives. I'm starting to question if it doesn't get into your blood.
