Poison Ivy, Oak outbreak|
| I just wanted to know how long does it last on a person if they don't know how they contacted the poison ivy or oak. He had a rash first on his left side cheek and the next day he breaked out with it on his stomach (oozing out) and also in his private area. It's all red down there and his been taken cool shower and washing with soap. He did take Benedryl to stop the itch and used cortizone cream. His also been using the GOLD BOND powder. The problem I'm concerned is that it's going over 3 weeks and it's still there. What can I do to help. He does not want to go to the doctors. I am scared that he might need medical attention and be on some medication. My boyfriend says he had it before when he was young and it will go away by itself. |
