While hiking in the woods near the Maine coast last weekend, something, I thought was an insect fell inside the collar of my shirt. I went to grab it with my fingers and it got squished. A fair amount of dark green ooze ensued, soaked into the shirt and on my skin. It itched a bit at first and has gotten worse and worse each day since.That I was carrying a back pack and the straps rubbed n the area contributed plus a four hour drive with the seat belt on same area. It's also on arm. My own hypothisis are: there are insects whose body fluids cause ivy type reactions, it was a insect that feed on poison ivy or some sort of suculant plant part fell off and lodged inside my shirt.
I have googled this to no availe. Anyone have any info? |
