Was intrigued to find this thread. I am currently suffering with a case of pi (10 days so far) and also have a small hard black spot within the range of the red rash. I thought nothing of it until I read this but if it is remaining oil, could removing it alleviate the symptoms? I tried scrubbing it with zanfel but it won't budge and I don't want to pick it too much for fear of creating new problems....
