Definitely see a doctor - a doctor can give you shots of cortisone, which helps. Only once did I need a shot twice.

Also, when I moved to NC I got it on my feet, it stayed for a long time (weeks) and someone finally told me the local remedy was Octagon brand soap. I found it in a local supermarket, and 2 years ago found it online on sale.

My poison ivy dried up within a few days, I soaked my feet in warm water with chips of soap. Anytime it's tried to start on me, I wash with Octagon and it stops dead in it's tracks.

This is no guarantee, but it does seem to work! Octagon has been around for many years, apparently, good luck.
