Well.... urushiol oil flows just like sap. If the leaves fell naturally, there won't be any urushiol oil left to give you any problems. People get into trouble with dead poison ivy leaves when the leaf was not shed naturally and the urushiol oil is still in the leaf. I can get a reference for you if you're interested.

Suiting up is still a good idea. You never know just exactly what you're mowing especially at the beginning of the season.
