I was diagnosed with poison ivy 9 days ago. After some pondering, I realized I got it from a plant near the refuge center. The dr. prescribed Keflex, an antibiotic, but it made me feel nauseous, so I quit taking it. Also, by day 3 the infection site was much better!Well, the poison ivy is almost gone but I think I passed it on to my boyfriend in a very embarassing way. Is it possible to spread the infection while having oral sex? I'm sorry for the TMI but I am scared to death now. He went to the dr. today for sores in his mouth, under his tongue to be exact. His dr. said they were ulcers but said if they didn't go away in a week, he might have oral cancer of some sort and need to see an ENT. Is this possibly a STD or hopefully from having oral sex with me while I had poison ivy. I am so scared. Thank you for listening.
