I would normally delete this post but felt that there were questions that should be answered.
Yes questions do get answered. Not always in a timely fashion and not always correctly but the board is active.
The "Hello" messages are more attempts at spamming this board. Many websites have abandoned their boards due to all of the spamming. I work behind the scenes to try and keep this board "clean". Sometimes spam gets through as there are always new attempts. Through some custom code I've written and some database queries I've developed, I've been able to keep a couple hundred spam messages A DAY (each and every day!) from showing up on the various boards on this website. I'm sure some has slipped through and I promise to keep on top of it.
Unfortunately, keeping the spam off the board does consume valuable time that I could use to answer more questions.
