The oil doesn't "soak in"!!! You gotta wash the clothes to get all the oil off...
I'm particularly sensitive to poison ivy... when I know (or even suspect) that my clothes have been in contact with it, I wash them twice - with a lot of detergent and with hot water.
Be careful when you handle them to get them into the washer!!!
