Once you wash off the oil it is not transferable because uroshiol is neutralized by water.

Make sure you wash everything that may have come into contact with the poison ivy, both direct and indirect.

Here's a trick I've learned over the years:

Take a hot shower or otherwise expose the affected areas with hot water. Make sure the water is as hot as you can stand. This will cause very intense itching and you should continue until the itching subsides.

This process releases histamine, which is responsible for the itching, due to the heat. Once the histamine cells are depleted, you should have up to 4 hours of relief from the itching.
