Hi there, maybe you never had Poison sumac but Hot tub rash instead? Here are some indicators of hot tub rash:

Hot Tub Folliculitis:

--History of using hot tub within last three days
---Itchy, bumpy, red rash appearing within 2 days of hot tub exposure
---Bumps may develop into dark red tender nodules
---May develop small blisters
---Multiple members of family or party could have the same rash and same hot tub exposure

Hot tubs must be strictly maintained to prevent illnesses. The hot water is perfect for bacterial growth and opens the pores too, so if there is contamination in your tub you will certainly get rashes. I have never heard of P.I. or P.S. returning after 3 months. Rebound urushiol type rashes will occur after steroid use but not without. Look into hot tub folliculitis on the web and see if this could be your problem. If so, you need to disinfect the tub and take steps to make it safe again.
