I have had poison oak several times in my life. But this time it has done something not very nice to me. Never really itched much but it hurt me so bad. Looks like it cut into my skin under my breast. This pain was so bad I could do nothing but scream and cry myself to sleep. And it was hard to breath when the pain would flare up. Now that the pain is gone, my ribs are still sore and it feels a little numb. Feels really weird to rub my ribs. The rash is also still there. It's been about 3 & 1/2 weeks since I got the po. I'm thinking that it may have penetrated my skin and maybe gotten into my blood? The pain felt just like the pain I had in my hand from an infection when I burned it real bad. And that hurt bad! So why would poison oak hurt me like it did?
