After cleaning out a fence row on a Friday, I woke up on a Sunday morning with a pretty severe rash on my leg. I first thought it might be chiggers, but there is NO itching. It is blistered now and has not spread! Is there such a thing of "no itching" poison ivy or poison sumac??? I looked at the pictures posted on this site and it LOOKS like poison ivy but NO itching! I feel very BLESSED to not having the itching, but I really am having a hard time identifying the culprit!
I have cleaned out this fence row for some 30 years now, and no problems!! It has been 9 days now...and not much change, no matter what I put on the rash/blisters. Any ideas??
I haven't been to the doctor because other than the blisters getting large enough and full enough to burst, there isn't discomfort..just ugly! REALLY UGLY!!! The place is large enough that you couldn't cover it with a dinner plate!
The treatment I have done so far is cleaning it several times a day with alcohol (does not burn either!), applying topical ointment after washing really good with soap about 3 times a day. I even used the ointment that dries up fever blisters! I figured if it could go in/on my mouth, it surely wouldn't hurt my leg! Was that dumb??
Thanks in advance for any advice,
