| I started taking prednisone 2 days ago after having poison ivy for over a week that was still showing up in more places every day. So far it seems to be controlling the itch for a few hours and I don't see any new rash so far today but no improvement in appearance of old rash yet. I am on 30 mg a day for the first 10 days then am to begin tapering off if results are seen. Does this dosage and amount of time on it usually get rid of it or does it tend to take more time and a higher dose in some cases? |
