My husband tilled a garden for me on Mother's Day this year and I planted zucchini, tomatoes, carrots, green beans & other things in it... He broke out soon after with a case of poison ivy (face, arms, chest). I broke out later with what looked similar to that "worse case" on here on my upper thigh. Spots everywhere that looked like chicken pox... Praise the Lord, we're all 'healed' now. BUT, my MIL is saying "Don't bring me any of those vegetables - they're growing in poison ivy!!" We've controlled the P.I. with Round Up and I've pulled some smaller ones as they appear (Hysterical sight that is with all the covering I have to wear!!)
So, here's the question: Can the poison ivy affect the veggies in any adverse way? Are my veggies going to be "grafted" by the ivy??
Thanks for suggestions!!
