Thanks for the answer Debbie,

I am still perplexed as to why the area of my skin that had the sticky part of the bandage shows no blistering at all. Sure, the skin has reddened a bit but, you can see a definite outline of the bandaged area. Just as if someone traced an image of a band-aid in my skin with blisters.

The cottony pad area is also blistered. This leads me to believe that letting air get to the afflicted area may not be the best treatment after all. Perhaps the sticky part of the bandage cut off that area to air and thus prevented the blistering in that spot?

It just doesn't follow what I've been reading.
