Poison ivy grows as a vine or small shrub. Most likely you are seeing boxelder. The leaves do look amazingly like poison ivy but there are some key differences. The most important is that the leaves are in pairs along the stem for boxelder. Not so for poison ivy where the leaves are alternate along the stem. |
